Relying on feedback from end users, starting in November we have changed our standard rewind motor to a 1/3 HP motor rated at 650 rpms (model AN-227) on the following reel models:

– E1500 (1/2″ hose ID) reels 
– E1800 and E4000 (3/4″ and 1″ ) reels 
– E2000 (1/2″ twin hydraulic) reels 

The standard electric rewind motor for all fire rescue reels, however, will remain the same (model AN-239, 1/5 HP, with a nominal 420 rpm speed).

Please also note that customers who prefer to stay with the slower speed motor are free to specify either at time of order– there is no difference in price between the two motors.
